APPLICATION:

  • Can be applied to marginally prepared surfaces (SSPC SP 2-3)
  • Applied to very wet or underwater surfaces
  • May be applied underwater by gloved hand, stiff bristle brush or roller
  • Preparation of metal surfaces underwater prior to the application of SealXpert Petro Tapes

SEALXPERT MASTIC

FEATURES:

  • High build product for sealing, filling and caulking applications where a protective, waterproof and non setting mastic is required
  • Moisture resistance
  • Microbe resistance
  • Good adhesion

APPLICATION:

  • Suitable for sealing concealed lap joints between plastics, metals, timber, glass, masonry, and expanded foam panels
  • Recommended for offshore environments, including splash zones, refineries, power plants, bridges, buildings, mining equipment and general structural steel.
  • Use in the installation of cool rooms, prefabricated construction and gasket sealed windscreens to exclude draughts and water penetration through joints in materials.
  • Can be specified where extended recoating properties for polyurethane topcoats are requested (typically travel coating)

1. Priming pipes, rods and cables. Apply SealXpert Underwater Petro Paste to entire area to be wrapped with tape.

2. Apply SealXpert Petro Tape. Start at the 9 o’ clock position. Ensure that the compound side of tape is to the substrate.

3. Starting a new roll of tape. Overlap ends of tape by one tape width.
